Okay, so there is this guy named Carl N. Karcher, who is considered one of the fast food industry's pioneers. His story is that of the American dream. He basically started this fast food industry that we know today. Carl was born in 1917, on a farm near Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He was born to a German-Immigrant family, and had 6 brothers and sisters. His parents were both industrious workers, farmers, and devout Catholics. His father would say, "The harder you work, the luckier you become." He dropped out of the eighth grade, and worked 12 to 14 hours on his parent's farm. In 1937, Ben Karcher, offered him a job in Anaheim, California. He had never left the state of Ohio. He had seen the opportunities for jobs and to start his meat packing buisness in the state of California. He also came up with this drive thru idea, which allowed you to order what you want from the stand, and pick up from the next window. He didn't come up with it though, his collegues did. Then he became this multi millionaire.
